Official Model(s) Released
This character's official TRTF3 model(s) have been released.

Vigo the Snake makes his first and only appearance in The Return to Freddy's 3 as one of the active antagonists. He was bought from a gift shop of an unnamed "origin location" by Wilson and Chun, and was then stored in Fazbear Fantasy Land for future use.

Appearance[]

Vigo is a green snake animatronic. His eyes seem to be peeking out of his head, and they have a slight red tint. He has at least thirteen segments, including the head. While he appears to be somewhat burnt, none of his endoskeleton is visible, not even the jaw.

Behavior[]

Vigo is first active on Night 3 and onwards. He starts in CAM 10, where he can be seen exiting the box he was brought in. Vigo then moves to CAM 08 and will eventually appear in the hallway of your Security Office. The player must click the Corrupt Signal button on the Signal Panel to defend themselves from Vigo. Failing to do so will cause Vigo to jumpscare the player, resulting in a game over.

Trivia[]

  • Vigo is the 2nd shortest animatronic in the TRTF series, the shortest being Adventure Lickjuice.
  • Vigo is the only animatronic who doesn't have any withering or significant damage in TRTF 3.
  • Vigo is the only animatronic in the game that looks like an actual animal. All the others have a humanoid shape.
  • In his Funtime Fright mode icon, Vigo seems to be a disembodied head.
  • Before The Return to Freddy's 4, some fans thought Vigo and Gron were the same character but in different forms.
  • There is a bug where Vigo's jumpscare audio might play, but he will not appear. But moments later, his jumpscare will play, resulting in a Game Over.
  • It is believed that Vigo was once possessed by Hayden Fisher, a child who was murdered by Vincent and as well as other 6 murdered children. However, this might have been one of the various "plot holes" created when scripting the lore.
  • Vigo was originally intended to be significantly shorter than he was within the final version of the game. His original shorter model can be seen within the pre-releases for the game.
  • Vigo was originally supposed to have a different jumpscare. This can be seen within the pre-releases of the game.
  • "Vigo" is also a name from an actual major city located in Europe, concretely in Galicia, which is an Autonomous Community of Spain. This is nothing more than a fun coincidence.

The Return to Freddy's 3[]

The sound emitted by Vigo when it kills the player WARNING: LOUD!

Vigo was set to make his first reappearance in The Return to Freddy's 3 Remastered prior to its cancellation.

Appearance[]

His design is largely similar to his original one, albeit with a few stylistic changes, most notably being that his body is now shorter in length and coated in a pattern of scales. There are now small wheels on either side of each segment of his body, explaining how he can move. His teeth are smaller, cubic, and far more numerous, and some sort of mechanism is visible on the inside of his mouth. He also has nostrils on his snout.

Behavior[]

It is uncertain how his game mechanics would have worked exactly, due to the Remastered games getting cancelled, however it can be presumed that they would have taken cues from his behavior in the original TRTF 3, possibly being deterred with the Corrupt Signal button, and as described in the concept sketch, his wheels would have likely made noise when he moved, alerting the player to his presence.

Trivia[]

  • The concept sketch is labeled as Version 1 of the "Traditional Look" for Vigo. It is unknown if Collin ever drew any other designs that iterated or stylized upon this one.
